Playground Opening 6th June 2021

The playground will open officially on Sunday 6th June at 3pm. The Community Centre will be open from 2pm. The playground is set as a memorial to the many who went to Europe on 6th June 1944 and especially to the glider born troop, pilot and military staff who made it all possible, many of whom were trained at RAF Stoke Orchard.

The Community Centre will also open up to show a history of Amy Johnson who was the first woman to fly solo to Australia in 1930. She lived in Stoke Orchard village.
